Privacy policy

Dear visitors of YourData-YourRights.eu,

as an information hub on the new data protection rules, we strive to set a good example by providing clear and transparent information on data processing on this website. However, there are still some questions regarding the concrete design of the General Data Protection Regulation, so this privacy policy should not be regarded as a standard. If you have any comments or suggestions for improving our privacy policy and data protection standards, please use the e-mail address info@digitalegesellschaft.de. The corresponding public PGP key can be found here.

This is what data we process and where we use cookies

We use cookies on this website. These are small text files that are stored locally on your device. Here you can find out which personal data is stored and how you can object to this.

1. Provision of website services
The website YourData-YourRights.eu is provided by Digitale Gesellschaft e.V. and hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH. The host processes your IP address and stores it in an anonymised way in log files for seven days and we do not store it longer. Other data processed in log files are the date and time and the browser and operating system used when accessing the website. Backups are kept on the server for fourteen days with encryption. This data processing is automated and is necessary for the provision and security of the website and its improvement.

2. Data transfer to third parties when watching the videos
Important: Please note that your IP address is transferred to YouTube/Google when you view a YouTube video on this page. As an alternative, you can view each video in your browser and download it.

If you access offers from this website from third parties, for example after clicking on the link to the Twitter channel or the Facebook page of the project, the privacy policies of the respective provider, which we have no control over, apply. Despite the data transfers, we deliberately decided to use social networks to publicise the project and its contents. In order to sensitise consumers for possible data protection problems in such services, we deem it necessary to reach them on precisely these platforms. If you have any comments or suggestions for improving our privacy policy or standards, please use info@yourdata-yourrights.eu. The corresponding public PGP key can be found here (and on common key servers).

3. Cookies in the browser game Data Clash
